My old friend Kori was in town for the holidays, and so while she was here, we all got together and had our own version of a high school reunion: lunch at our old lunch hangout, Barro's Pizza! (the best pizza in the world FYI) It was fun, especially since none of us went to our real high school reunion last year. I was 9 months pregnant last year so didn't attend for that obvious reason, but I wouldn't have gone anyway. I did not like high school so much. Or maybe I just didn't like the person I was in high school. Either way, for the most part anyone I wanted to keep in contact with, I have. And for those long lost acquaintances, I'm sure I'll see them on Facebook eventually!
Anyway, here's a picture of a few of us from back in the day. Last day of school, Class of '97! (note my 311 shirt...ah the good old days...)
And here was today at lunch:
It was fun to get away from the kids for a couple hours and have some "grown up" time. Although I find it funny that about 80% of the conversation was about our kids... I'm sure we bored Meagan and Angela to tears with all the kid-talk, either that or scared them to death to the point where I'm sure they will never want their own!
I hope we don't let another 11 years go by before we do this again.

old school...
That sounds like fun Christy! I'm glad you had a good time. When Scott and I go out with no kids a lot of our conversation is about our kids. They are just so fun to talk about aren't they??? :)
I wasn't invited.
How fun! I love the picture. I think I had a 311 shirt like that.
sounds like fun! a night out with old friends...no kids...funny how whenever you get away for the kidos that is all we talk about!
